Welcome to the Boise, Idaho Partners in Crime Web Site.

Who Are We?

Partners in Crime was organized in 1996 as the Boise chapter of the international literary organization, Sisters In Crime. Both readers and writers of mystery, suspense, and true crime are invited to join.

We meet at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month at Barnes and Noble, 1301 N. Milwaukee St., Boise, ID 83704. Meetings are open to the public.

Each meeting includes a presentation by a mystery author, a specialist in crime and detection, a teacher of writing or some aspect of the craft, an agent, editor, or someone in a profession of general interest to mystery and crime readers and writers. The meetings are followed by a special get-together for writers. The meetings are lively, entertaining and educational.

Benefits of membership include:

  Monthly meetings
  • Sponsored reading group
  • Critique groups for writers
  • Networking for writers
  • Discounts to club's special events
  • Manuscript critique service, "Criminal Pursuits"
  • Private Yahoogroups.com listserv
  • Monthly newsletter

Our local chapter is called "Partners in Crime" rather than "Sisters in Crime" to emphasize our openness to both women and men—and many men are members of the group. If you love mysteries, feel free to attend a meeting at any time. They are open to the public. You just might decide to join!
